8 hours and counting...

the bags are packed. well, mostly. i'm still trying to figure out how to transfer the requested cottage cheese down to quito. multiple ziplocs is my best idea at this point. i've been assured it won't spoil.

jon's teaching right now. i'm supposed to be picking up the house and double checking our luggage and showering...obviously i'm not doing my job. sshhh. don't tell.

we leave LAX at 2:12 am. brutal. a little 'tylenol pm' for anna and 'sudafed pm' for jon (he's getting over a sinus infection...fun!) and we'll be ready to fly.

we have 8 hours or so in panama...taxi...ir al canal! that will definitely start our adventure out on an adventurous foot. then, to quito. 9pm we arrive.

straight to casa victoria to settle in and ready ourselves for the next morning. i think right now our emotions are doing flip-flops. anxiety. excitement. exhaustion. anticipation. insecurity. freaking out!

honestly, we can't wait.

linda tarman (love you!) just sent us an email saying the following...We will be praying for your trip to Ecuador....that you will have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Lord is saying to you.

thank you linda. that is our prayer as well. this is a big big step in our journey. a huge step in our marriage. and an enormous step in following jesus.
